        KERRY 1-21 KILDARE 4-10

 

In  Thurles  on Saturday afternoon it was the Bord Gάis Energy U21B All-Ireland Final where the Kingdom of Kerry took on the Lillywhites of Kildare. The Kingdom boys hit the first 2 points of the game. A penalty was awarded by the referee from Tipp to Kildare. The Kildare goalkeeper, Paddy McKenna hit a rocket into the Kerry net. Kildare outclassed Kerry in Midfield with Johnny Byrne catching ball. Kerry was always keeping in touch with Kildare with full-forward Pάdraig Boyle hitting some brilliant scores. 

At Half Time – Kildare 3-05 Kerry 0-14 

Kerry were looking for scores but Éire Ógs Kevin Connor held his ground but Kerry’s No.10 Michael O’ Leary hit Points With Kerry Star Pάdraig Boyle. Kildare got their 4th Goal from corner forward Ryan Casey. This was followed by 2 Points from Evan Dempsey from Éire Óg. Kildare were looking to win with 30 Seconds remaining. However, Kerry’s full forward Pάdraig Boyle scored a goal for the Kingdom. It was meant to be Kerry’s Day!
